This course introduces students to two foundational academic writing forms: expository essays and persuasive writing. Students will:
1. Learn Expository Structure
Practice clear thesis statements, outlines, and paragraph development.
 
2. Develop Persuasive Arguments
Strengthen reasoning, build convincing points, and draft persuasive letters.
 
3. Complete Final Pieces
Produce two complete writing pieces through drafting, revising, and sharing.
 
课程目标
In this course, students will master two core writing forms—expository and persuasive essays. The first six sessions will focus on clear expression and organizational structure, while the final six will guide students in writing persuasive letters on real-world topics, helping them build logical and convincing arguments. Through drafting, model analysis, and focused practice on introductions and conclusions, students will improve their overall writing skills and complete two full-length essays.
