课程内容
This course focuses on strengthening students’ reading comprehension through engaging texts and related writing tasks. It is organized around the following key components:
 
Literary Analysis & Textual Evidence
Students will explore literary elements, identify themes, and learn to support their interpretations with textual evidence.
 
Writing to Support Understanding
The course introduces various writing genres—including descriptive, compare-contrast, persuasive, and nonfiction—to help students clearly organize and express their reading insights.
 
Writing Projects & Final Composition
Through guided drafting, revision, and feedback, students will complete a final writing project that reflects their understanding and analysis of the texts.
 
课程目标
This course is designed to enhance students’ reading comprehension and writing expression through a variety of texts and writing tasks. Students will develop core skills such as literary analysis, theme identification, and citing textual evidence. They will apply these skills across multiple genres—including narrative, compare-and-contrast, and persuasive writing. By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently compose well-structured paragraphs and full-length essays with clarity and depth.
