This intensive course is designed for students ages 13 and above to attend the Scholastic Writing Awards writing competition. It focuses on mastering the logical structure, language techniques, and academic standards required for competitive writing.
Through 9 hours of small-group instruction and 3 hours of personalized 1-on-1 coaching, students will learn to:
 
Develop and Organize Ideas
Generate strong, original arguments and structure them clearly and effectively.
Apply Reasoning and Academic Style
Strengthen clarity, depth, and tone to meet the expectations of academic and competitive writing.
Polish and Finalize a Full Essay
Complete a compelling competition essay that demonstrates clear reasoning, fluency, and expressive power.

This course is designed to help students at the appropriate age levels for various writing competitions systematically master the structure, style, and academic expectations of English competition writing. Through nine small-group sessions and personalized coaching, students will complete a well-developed, expressive, and logically sound competition essay—while also strengthening their overall writing skills for academic and competitive contexts.
